France “Journal du Textile” report on February 8:
Hermes 2010 sales record-breaking increase 2.4 billion euro, the growth reach 25.4%. Clothing department push-off new style suit and fashionable clothes, sales increase 18%; Spinning and silk products rise 19%; Hermes bag and little leather goods reach 21% as their large demand.
The principal of Hermes group says: the reason of sales increase is specialty store can make the operation so energetic. Especially at Christmastime, group store sales growth accounted for 31% of the total. Last year, Hermes open 13 stores all over the world. They will open 10 stores this year. The start of March, the group will release last performance review, estimate that its pre-tax profit should be slightly higher than 40% compared with 2009.
